Blush Pink Frills, This Girl's Best Friend

Autumn in Savannah is a beautiful thing. The humidity levels drop, the leaves turn the slightest shade of golden, and an array of gorgeous fairytale pumpkins populate gabled front porches for as far as the eye can see.

The trouble with Autumn in Savannah is that it doesn’t actually seem to arrive until well into October, hopefully in time for Halloween. All of that to say, it stays warm here. Pretty much all year. And the summer-to-fall wardrobe transition can be especially hard to navigate.

Crisp mornings regularly bloom into toasty warm afternoons, and so outfits that cater beautifully to mother nature’s mercurial attitude around here come in handy.

Enter this blush pink frilly number by FRNCH. I picked this up locally at one of my very favorite Savannah boutiques, Harper. (You can find out more about my favorite Savannah boutiques here) I know that Nordstrom carries the FRNCH brand as well.

I’ve never been one to stick too strictly to seasonal wardrobe rules - I love mixing and matching unexpected fabrics and textures.

The light tweed jacket by H&M goes with just about everything under the sun, and is a sure way to add a touch of sophistication to any outfit. I pair the jacket often with yoga pants and chunky jewelry for running errands with Rhett or impromptu brunches downtown.

For me, the key to feeling confident in your wardrobe each and every day, goes back to investing in a number of key neutral pieces that can be mixed and matched well with just about anything. I love pops of color or splashes of white, brought in with scarves and bags and statement jewelry.

The Hamilton-Turner Inn is one of Savannah’s most prestigious! Fun fact - the mansion was the first residence in Savannah’s Historic District to have electricity!
