A Magnolia Wreath DIY with Table Talk Co.

A magnolia wreath is without a doubt one of the most quintessential southern decor items I can think of. They are everywhere in Savannah, seemingly year-round.

They’re also one of the easiest and fun home projects that I enjoy doing. It doesn’t take too much time or planning to put together a really pretty wreath.

Sometimes I opt for a really full look.

But for this DIY collaboration with my friend Brit’s company, Table Talk Co., we opted for a more whimsical design.

By tucking the magnolia leaves loosely within a grapevine wreath (you can secure them with a bit of floral wire, but you don’t have to), we were also able to layer in some sweet-smelling herbs, which brought a fun and fresh take that I enjoyed for days afterword. You can take the greenery all the way around the wreath if you prefer - we opted to leave a large amount of the grapevine exposed for a more rustic vibe.

This is a great project to work on with littles, as the shabby chic look allows for freer placement of greenery.

You can pick up fresh magnolia leaves and herbs from your local florist, while your local craft store should have a wide variety of grapevine wreaths.

So what are you waiting for? Give it a try!

We’d love to see your finished projects, post a pic of your wreath to Instagram and tag @genteelandbardsavannah to share with us!
